Royal Myanmar Golf Club – Naypyitaw

18 Hole Par 72 – 6636 Metre, 7257 Yards

Pacific Coast Design were engaged by the Eden Group in 2007 to Site Master Plan this golf residential project and detail design the 36 hole Golf Course as part of the group’s new project development in the new capital city of Naypyidaw in Myanmar. The Golf Course is called Royal Myanmar Golf.

Naypyidaw is the newest capital city of Myanmar where the administration was officially moved to this greenfield location 2 miles West of Pyinmana on 6 November 2005. Naypyidaw means Royal Palace or Royal City but is also translated as “abode of kings”, is approximately 320km North of Yangon. The area of Naypyidaw occupies approximately 4,600 square kilometres.

The site is ideally positioned between the airport and the city center along the main highway, Yarza Thingaha Road, where many hotels/resorts are being developed to serve the needs of the growing city. The sites great location provides for prestige exposure to visitors and business people & corporations that will visit Naypyidaw.

The site is beautifully undulating which provides interest and aesthetic appeal even before the golf course work takes place. The shapes and roll of the terrain were accentuated in the design phase to highlight the sites natural attributes.

The Golf Courses are planned to International standard private/resort style of 36 holes, West Course and East Course.

The West Course is Par 72 at 7,257 yards, commenced construction in 2008 and was completed in 2010.

The East Course is Par 72 at 7,287 yards and is yet to be constructed.

The complex will be supported by the following planned facilities Central Club / Restaurant / Bar / Change facilities & Pro Shop and Golf Academy (training, teaching and practice facilities).
